Linkin Park has come with a new lineup and is revealing their first new music since lead singer Chester Bennington's death in 2017. On Thursday, the band performed a livestream that made a huge impact within the audience, introducing a new singer Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain, who join returning members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, and Joe Hahn. Shinoda and Armstrong will share vocal duties.

The new lineup premiered their single, "The Emptiness Machine," at the start of the stream. Armstrong's performance style smoothly continues the band's legacy, with her powerful vocals echoing Bennington's without imitating him, as demonstrated in the second song of the set, "Somewhere I Belong."

The new Linkin Park also divulged their upcoming album, "From Zero," which is set to be released on November 15.

The rock-rap band, one of the most mercantily victorious acts of the 2000s thanks in part to Bennington’s vocals, saw his death by suicide at age 41 shortly after the release of their last album, "One More Light." Since then, Linkin Park has released various reissues, including 20th anniversary editions of "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora," as well as the career-spanning greatest hits collection "Papercuts" earlier this year.

“Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking,” Shinoda said in a statement announcing the upcoming release.

Armstrong, formerly of the alt-rock band Dead Sara, and Brittain, a songwriter and producer who has collaborated with Papa Roach, One OK Rock, and All Time Low, join the band as replacements. Brittain takes over from original drummer Rob Bourdon, who has "decided to step away," according to a band representative speaking to The Associated Press.
