Most of the Indian athletics squad headed for Paris Olympics 2024, which includes world and Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra, will complete their last training camp in three European nations: Turkey, Poland, and Switzerland, in preparation for the Summer Olympics. Four days before the track and field championships get off on August 1, all thirty of the Indian athletes who were chosen for Paris 2024 are expected to get together in Paris on July 28. Neeraj Chopra will be stationed in the Gloria Sports Arena in Antalya, Turkey, prior to Paris 2024.

For the main event, the Indian javelin throw ace has been practicing in Finland and Germany. After winning gold at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Finland last month, 26-year-old Chopra announced that she will not be participating in any further meets until the Olympics.

Hurdler Kishore Jena, long jumper Jeswin Aldrin, triple jumper Praveen Chithravel, hurdler Jyothi Yarraji, and javelin thrower Kishore Jena arrived in Poland earlier this week and are currently practicing at the Olympic Sports Centre in Spala.

On Thursday, athletes Tajinderpal Singh Toor and Abha Khatua, throwers of the javelin and shot put, and the men's and women's 4x400m relay teams headed for Paris Olympics 2024 will also depart for Poland.

Avinash Sable, a steeplechaser, and Parul Chaudhary, a competitor, will train in St. Moritz, Switzerland, then arrive in Poland on July 24 to join the other competitors before flying to Paris.

Before taking out for Paris, race walkers Suraj Panwar, Vikash Singh, Paramjeet Singh Bisht, and Akshdeep Singh will be training at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) facility in Bengaluru. SAI in Bengaluru will also be the training ground for middle-distance runner Ankita Dhyani and triple jumper Abdulla Aboobacker.
