Online gaming platform Zupee has collaborated with the government-supported Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) to expand the reach of its skill-based games to a huge audience.

Under this partnership, Zupee is now listed as a seller application on ONDC, making its popular Ludo game accessible through the platform, according to a statement released on Monday.

"We are delighted to partner with ONDC and be listed on the platform. This collaboration strengthens our efforts to bring the joy of playing culturally relevant Indian games, responsibly, to a larger audience," said Dilsher Singh Malhi, founder and CEO of Zupee.

The statement noted that this partnership will enable both ONDC and Zupee to extend their reach, speed up customer acquisition, and deliver even greater value to their expanding user base.

Founded in 2018 by Malhi and Siddhant Saurabh, Zupee provides skill-based games where players' success relies on their skill, knowledge, attention, and experience. The company is supported by investors including WestCap Group, Tomales Bay Capital, Nepean Capital, AJ Capital, Matrix Partners India (now Z47), and Orios Venture Partners.

"ONDC has been committed to delivering a range of products and services through a democratized digital commerce and a neutral ecosystem for sellers," said T Koshy, managing director and CEO of ONDC. "Zupee's integration on ONDC Network will not only facilitate offering of value entertainment to larger users in India but also allow them to access a wider range of products and services at a right price from a single, unified platform."

This development occurs as ONDC aims to diversify its services and strengthen its presence across various sectors.

Recently, online travel aggregator EaseMyTrip introduced its marketplace ScanMyTrip on the network to provide travel services.

Additionally, ONDC has been expanding its financial services by integrating various consumer-facing apps.
