Cristiano Ronaldo Surpasses Saudi league Goalscoring Record a Week after Topping Forbes' List of the Highest-paid Sportsmen!

Cristiano Ronaldo keeps moving forward in his unrelenting pursuit of football immortality. For the fourth time in his illustrious career, the highly decorated football player topped Forbes' list of sportsmen who earned the highest salary last week. The Portuguese celebrity topped the list last year with $260 million, a huge increase from the $136 million he made the year before.

In addition to his many honors, Ronaldo broke yet another record on Monday when he scored twice in Al-Nassr's season-ending league game against Al-Ittihad in Riyadh, clinching a 4-2 triumph. His 35 goals throughout the season broke the previous mark for most goals scored in a Saudi Pro League season.

This accomplishment beats the previous best of 34 goals, which was established by Abderrazak Hamdallah with Al-Nassr in the 2019 season. In 69 games in all competitions since joining Al-Nassr on a free transfer from Manchester United in January 2023, Ronaldo has scored 64 goals.

Ronaldo has scored 765 goals throughout his incredible 22-year career, which has included stops at Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and now Al-Nassr! With 128 goals in 206 games for Portugal, the 39-year-old also holds the record for most goals scored internationally.

Ronaldo is now the first football player to top score in four separate leagues, which is a noteworthy accomplishment. He has won the Spanish Golden Boot three times in his career in addition to one each in the Italian Serie A and the English Premier League.

Ronaldo's contributions this season enabled Al-Nassr to finish second in the league, 14 points behind local rivals Al-Hilal, who won the title two weeks ago and went undefeated throughout the 34-round competition.

In spite of this, this Friday's highly anticipated Kings Cup of Champions final between Ronaldo and company and Al-Hilal offers them an opportunity for atonement.
