Did you know that Abhishek Bachchan makes Rs 18.9 lakh per month from SBI?
Abhishek Bachchan, known for his diverse acting abilities and entrepreneurial enterprises, has a unique source of income that may surprise his fans. While his movies and commercial ventures frequently make headlines, few people are aware of his profitable real estate deal.
Did you know that Abhishek Bachchan and his megastar father, Amitabh Bachchan, have rented out the bottom floor of their bungalows, Vatsa and Ammu, in Juhu, Mumbai, to the State Bank of India (SBI) for Rs 18.9 lakh per month.
Yes, you read it correctly! The leasing agreement, which was registered on September 28, 2021, is for 15 years and contains a 25% rental escalation every five years. This means that after five years, the rent will rise to Rs 23.6 lakh per month, and after ten years, it will reach Rs 29.5 lakh. To complete the transaction, SBI has already paid a deposit of Rs 2.26 crore, which is equivalent to one year's rent.
The rented property, located next to Jalsa, the Bachchan family's current mansion, is 3,150 square feet and is an excellent commercial location.
Abhishek recently participated in the film I Want to Talk, directed by Shoojit Sircar and released on November 22. The ETimes review for the film reads, "In book terms, 'I want to talk' may not be a page-turner, but it's also not a sob story. It reminds you that you are far stronger than you believe you are."
He is now preparing for the release of Housefull 5, which stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and others. Tarun Mansukhani directs and Sajid Nadiadwala produces the film, which will be released on June 6, 2025.
