YouTube CEO Neal Mohan shared in a blog post that AI will enhance both creator and viewer experiences, with the platform rolling out new AI features. While YouTube has long used AI for video recommendations, captions, and content moderation, it is now introducing additional AI tools to further support creators and improve user interaction.

Last year, YouTube introduced Dream Screen and Dream Track, AI tools that generate video backgrounds, images, and music for Shorts. Soon, YouTube will enhance Dream Screen with the addition of Veo 2, improving its capabilities.

In a blog post, Mohan revealed that YouTube is working on tools to suggest video ideas, generate titles, and design thumbnails. AI is also improving video reach, with 40% of watch time for dubbed videos coming from viewers selecting different languages. YouTube launched auto dubbing last year, and soon, all YouTube Partner Program creators will have access to it, with more languages being added gradually.

YouTube is also taking steps to protect creators from AI misuse by testing new AI detection tools through a pilot program with key figures. Their feedback will help refine these tools and provide users with more control over AI-generated content.

YouTube is prioritizing the safety of young viewers by investing in YouTube Kids and supervised accounts while enhancing educational content. Next year, the platform will use machine learning to estimate users' ages, ensuring kids are shown age-appropriate content.

Mohan stated that YouTube will keep using AI responsibly to improve the platform for all users.
